Meet John

John Banholzer was raised in the unrelenting rain of Astoria, Oregon. After graduating from the Home of the Fishermen, he went on to earn a degree in Technical Journalism at Oregon State University, while also pitching for the Beaver’s baseball team. For the next 27 years, John worked in the Portland film community as a grip. He was tasked with lighting scenes, as well as rigging cameras and providing camera support on numerous movies and television shows. John is excited to be a member of Team Summit and is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and California to meet your lending needs.
